Honoring Mothers: A Community-Supported Day of Care

Each year, the East Los Angeles Women’s Center (ELAWC) holds a dedicated Mother’s Day celebration to honor the women who nurture, guide, and sustain families and communities.
This annual Mother’s Day Brunch: Pampering & Appreciation Day is a day of intentional care—created to recognize and uplift mothers and mother figures through rest, wellness, and appreciation.
For nearly 50 years, ELAWC has been a place of refuge—where silence is heard—providing safety, healing, and support to women and families across our community. This annual tradition creates space for something essential: care for the caregiver.
On May 12, 2026, ELAWC will host its annual Mother’s Day celebration, including:
- A shared brunch experience
- Hair, makeup, and nail services
- Wellness activities such as yoga and mini massage
- Self-care items and thoughtful giveaways
This celebration is made possible through the generosity of individuals, partners, and sponsors who believe that healing also includes rest, care, and joy.
