The East Los Angeles Women's Center Youth Empowerment program (Y.E.P.) is a prevention and intervention-based program. ELAWC’s Y.E.P works with a gender inclusive, culturally- based and comprehensive curriculum to educate and engage BIPOC youth, their partners, parental figures and the community on healthy relationships to prevent teen dating violence and sexual assault.
Annual Activities led by the Youth Empowerment Program include education prevention sessions for both females and males, a gender specific youth development component, parent workshops, school and community awareness, and linkages to services.
