Somos Sagradas | We Are Sacred | In-person, 8-week Circle in Spanish for SA survivors

Somos Sagradas – A Healing Journey for Latinx Women is an eight-week Restorative Justice (RJ) circle series created for women and survivors impacted by sexual assault. Grounded in trauma-informed care, this journey offers a compassionate and culturally rooted space to name what has happened, honor each other’s stories, and reclaim voice, body, and sacredness. Through storytelling, reflection, and somatic practices, participants move through themes such as What We Were Taught, Invaded, Consent, The Power of Clarity, Against My Will, It’s Not My Fault, Sensuality, and We Are Sacred. Each circle helps participants understand how systems, family, and culture have shaped their relationship with the body and boundaries, while gently guiding them to release shame and guilt. This process restores agency, dignity, and connection — essential elements of RJ healing. Together, women bear witness to one another with tenderness and strength, transforming pain into empowerment. By the final gathering, participants affirm, “We are sacred,” embodying collective healing, truth, and reclamation for themselves and their communities.
